About Us & Reviews
Your therapist
I am passionate about helping people get out of pain and back to living life fully and freely. Physical and emotional pain are part of life’s journey and can lead us to grow, but chronic pain conditions, especially those without an obvious cause, can be debilitating and can rob the joy out of life.
What if you could live with less pain without having to take medication to function? What if you could enjoy your favorite activities again?
As a John F. Barnes Myofascial Release therapist, I facilitate healing. The human body has the innate capability of healing itself as long as the right conditions are present. Gently removing restrictions and encouraging the body to release any needless baggage allows for deep restoration of health.
I’ve chosen to be involved in this work because I have experienced first-hand the amazing physical and emotional benefits it can provide. It has facilitated a deeper understanding of myself, the connections in my body, and given me the freedom to let my body express what it needs. It has provided relief from chronic hip pain and has helped me process stuck emotional energy. I have also witnessed significant shifts in my clients’ and classmates’ bodies.
I graduated in 2009 from the Body Therapy Institute in Siler City, NC, and have provided massage and bodywork in various settings. I am also a professional classical musician, performing regularly on harpsichord and recorder. Having experienced injury in the pursuit of my musical career and currently dealing with various pain conditions, I have a keen interest in maintaining my own health through receiving bodywork as well as helping others who are dealing with similar ailments.
Taking care of our health is not a luxury, it’s a necessity!
